This xin wang opens till 4am every night. I met up with a friend for supper, she ordered their main course while I only got myself a cup of hot tea. this place gets really quiet after 1am. It is realy a great place to chill. My cup of tea was really good. it was not too sweet, there was some tea fragrance. they added the right proportion of milk into it so it tasted pretty milky and creamy. night time I does get cold in the restaurant, I was glad I ordered a hot drink.

Xin wang got 25% discount on their dim sum on weekends. Their dim sum are on the pricey side, but with the discount, it makes it a lot more affordable. I like their bean curd skin dim sum dish. the bean curd skin is deep fried till golden brown. It is very crispy. Despite being deep fried, it is not too oily. I love the fragrance of the bean curd skin. Too bad there is only three pieces. I strongly recommend this dish.

Besides that, their fried stuff are also relatively well done. This fried spring roll is crispy without being greasy and as it is hot off the fryer, it is very nice - fried stuff must be enjoyed while it is hot. Overall, good! The service is very good, I was observing two of the waiters, they literally rushed to the entrance to seat all their customers, so you need not wait very long to be seated. The food is served very fast too!

Because of the claim "Hong Kong", I purposely took the train and visited this restaurant. I've been seeking for a real HK cafe for a long time.Well, I'd say "milk tea" is one of the most representative drinks which any restaurant claims to be from HK. And here, HK milk tea is priced double that of "teh xi". That would always be the first one to try. You know what? Well, I'd say "milk tea" is one of the most representative drinks which any restaurant claims to be from HK. And here, HK milk tea is priced double that of "teh xi". That would always be the first one to try.

You know what? There's really really no difference from a normal "teh-c" I could easily find in any hawker center. I was curious to ask the manager(?) about how to differentiate and justify the price difference. But I was not given any sensible answer. I was given an embarrassing smile at last...

干炒牛肉河粉 is another must try in HK restaurant, so I did. And you know what again?
It was the famous Singapore fired kuay tiao you can find in any hawker center. And it costs more than double the price here.

My comment to Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe - when you claim as HK restaurant, be seriously committed to include HK ingredients, pls. It's ok to pay premium for that, but you need to get the REAL stuff. I felt like cheated...

I love Xin Wang for its milk tea. There is just something so aromatic and flavourful in each an every cup of their milk tea, and this is surely one of my favourite places to have my fix of milk tea. Yew tee point is of one the malls in Singapore that is pretty deserted, even on a weekend. So when i went into Xinwang on Saturday, i was not surprised to see that there are still plenty of seats available. Service was pretty fast, but the waiter can be rather impatient. Normally my groups of friends would say out our order one by one, but because the few of us ordered the same milk tea, he stopped in the middle of order taking and simply asked, "so just tell me how many milk tea in total". I had the french toast, again. It was great as always, with the thick fried toast and honey on it. The toast is really soft on the inside. I also had a cup of yuan yang, which is coffee and tea mixed. It was served in those kind of cute traditional tin cup. Very authentic feel.

I had the char siew wanton noodles. Surprisingly, it was pretty good, except that it didn't come with any boiled wanton, every piece was fried. The char siew meat was really tasty though. The noodles were springy and just nice, the chili made it all better and I like the fact that the veggies were served green and not yellow. Generous portion.Worth trying.

I don't remember what brought my boyfriend and I to Xin Wang Hong Kong Café once again, despite our bad experience at another outlet previously.I won't say that it's a casual dining restaurant with one of the best services and food standard around, honestly there's nothing fanciful about it. Average food and pricing that don't match the food standard (if you know what I mean).Anyway, I ordered a western course- black pepper pork chop with tomato based spaghetti. Anyway, I ordered a western course- black pepper pork chop with tomato based spaghetti. The pasta was a little overcooked, too soft and the tomato pasta sauce tasted like instant ones. The pork chop on the other hand, was really oily but bland and that particular piece (or is it every piece) was extremely fatty. Also, the black pepper sauce on it tasted... strange.

Come here at least once a week for the papaya noodles soup dish with ultra crispy luncheon meat. I love the milky texture of this dish which always fills me up with glee! The only dish that gave me mixed feelings so far was the prata with chicken curry. Prata was crispy enough to my liking but the curry was a tad too sweet instead of spicy. Will update again when I decide to go beyond my comfort zone and order something new instead of my usuals. Ah as most of their outlets close only at 1pm, it has become a perfect place to visit whenever I have food cravings late into the night. Speaking of which. I’m gaining weight. Boo boo.

Back to the minced meat rice, the gravy is very tasty, not too salty, eat with rice simply delicious. It also have a fried egg too!

The bamboo rice portion is a little small, but the rice mixed with the chicken and gravy, is indeed a well blend. Very delicious!
