Ya kun kaya toast is famous for serving traditional singapore breakfast and is popular with everyone, including both the old and the young. They serve many different kinds of toast eg; kaya peanut toast, french toast. I love their butter kaya toast @ $1.80 (2 pieces). The toast is always crispy and warm, with the sweet kaya and butter, its really delicious! Not forgetting the ice blended coffee / mocha which will satisfy coffee lovers! continue reading

I had a ice cold milk tea from ya kun to accompany my pastry for breakfast. The drink was very refreshing with a good strong milk tea taste and just the right amount of milkiness and sweetness. The drink was not too thick and was of the right consistency. However one problem is that because a large amount of ice was used, the drink became too diluted even when I still had half a cup left. continue reading

FoodBack for more! SET A, S$4.50 consisting 1 butter kaya toast, a cup of tea and 2 half boil eggs. A packet of tissue and a notepad was given free upon purchasing a set.The nutritious part of the meal. These bright yellow egg yolks are simply irresistible! Yummy-licious! ServiceToasts were served shortly after settling down. Fast and efficient service received.AmbienceQuite unusual as the crowd was not seen this morning. The usual packed and "lacking of seats" situation was not found.PriceThough price is quite expensive for a breakfast, it is quite a good way to start off by having a good breakfast.Recommendation / Tips continue reading

i went to grandma's house yesterday and bring her out for hi-tea. She is particularly in love with coffee which is a habit of her since young! So we went to yakun at clementi mall. I don't really like the location of yakun at clementi mall. It is near one of the entrance where a lot of people will be passing by. But since my grandma choose it so i followed her in. Cause I had just eaten my lunch, i didn't feel hungry at all. So i only ordered a cup of ice coffee. Well, i costs ard $1plus, but i just taste like those normal coffee shop coffee. I don't think it worth the price and to me the only different is that ya kun is air conditioned! Maybe i will try Yakun food again, but not the ice coffee anymore! continue reading

LOVE this new item on Yakun's menu which is the thick toast served with ice cream! The toast is nicely fried and the fragrance and crispiness of the toast and the cold strawberry covered ice cream is a really delicious and mouth watering combination. Love the strawberry sauce that is drizzled over the ice cream and the toast and this goes down well with coffee or tea. continue reading
