This lontong stall is voted one of the top 3 in the Singapore Hawker Masters 2012! Conveniently located a few bus-stops away from my house, I decided to bring my mom here for breakfast! There was a long queue at this stall but service is pretty efficient and we got our lontong within 10 minutes! The normal bowl with tauhu cost $2.50 and you can then choose to add toppings like Paru, Telor, Begedil etc. We both added in Begedil at an extra cost of 70 cents, which was very worth it by the way! The begedil is so yummy and a must-try! A good bowl of Lontong lies in the coconut gravy and the one here is so flavourful! This is really one of the best in Singapore!

I had Lontong for breakfast and the perfect drink to pair it with is a cup of Teh Halia Tarik Usually people request for their teh to be done 'tarik style' if they want their drink to be cooler. "Tarik" essentially means to achieve a cooler teh through the process of pouring and 'pulling' the brew of hot tea and milk between two cups. Anyway, the Teh Halia here is just average, as the ginger taste is not strong at all.

I enjoyed the Chicken Briyani from Afghan Briyani & Murtabak stall from Yes Boo Food Corner. This coffee shop serve both Northern and Southern Indian Food. A whole chicken thigh goes with the Briyani. The chicken meat is tender but the chunky mutton is a bit tough.
The yellow rice cooked with the masala, turmeric and other various spices is fluffy. It would taste better if they are served hot. The gravy is thick and not too spicy.
