Personally I love their fish steam boat where the whole fish is cooked in the big metal bowl and added with a lot of sour vege and their pig trotters. the pig trotters are so well cooked that the meat just melts in your mouth!

- Rice with sliced beef cooked with ginger & onion

This eatery is newly opened and I've passed this place several times while on my way to ghim moh market. They have put up more posters advertising what they sell, so I decided to finally satiate my curiosity about this place today. The waiter is quite friendly and cheerfully offers that they sell authentic sze chuan cuisine and also some local food as well, zi-char style. Since there are only 2 of us, we ordered their special rice set meals instead of the ala carte dishes.

For $4.50 per plate, ($4 if you order pork or chicken) you get a fried egg and a large serving of meat together with a generous amount of rice. For the rice with sliced beef cooked with ginger & onion, I really liked the sauce. It was tasty and had Chinese wine added to it, making it really fragrant. A generous amount of sauce was given, which went very well with the rice. My only gripe is that the beef was a bit tough - will give it another chance though.

For the rice with sliced fish, the sauce was also good and the fish slices fresh and tender. Unfortunately, they had no soup for today (it's only $2 per bowl of brewed soup if you've ordered their rice set) since it's the third day of CNY and it's hard to get the ingredients during this period.

A comforting, nice and filling meal. Will be back for more to try out the other dishes!
