So I had that there’s this new Taiwan concept restaurant opening at Far East Plaza. Didn’t get a chance to go town so finally one weekend when I was around the area shopping, I decided to go and give it a try. 5 bears offered quite a number of unique Taiwanese food and it was difficult to choose. In the end I decided to try the famous “Lu Rou Fan”. A bit disappointed because it doesn’t taste like the authentic one I had from Taiwan. In the end I decided to try the famous “Lu Rou Fan”. A bit disappointed because it doesn’t taste like the authentic one I had from Taiwan. The “Lu rou” or braised meat doesn’t have the special punch to it. The rice was pretty normal too. The drink which comes with it (wintermelon tea I think) tasted too sweet that I just had a few sip and not finishing it.
