I regularly frequent this cafe, especially after a game of badminton at the CC. For $6 nett, you get a main course, soup and drink - this is available every day, including weekends There are both air-conditioned and alfresco dining areas available. The pan-fried dory fillet and the black pepper chicken chop are one of my favourite items here on the list. There is quite a large range of other western-food items to choose from as well, including baked rice and pasta.
The soup is usually creamy mushroom soup - the taste is normal, a bit like Campbell soup. I like it that fruit juices are also available as part of their drink choices.
The pan fried dory fillet has a generous slice of dory fish accompanied with aglio olio spaghetti and salad. The dollop of mayo goes will with the fish fillet and the spaghetti is lightly tossed in olive oil and garlic and sprinkled with herbs - quite nice. The side serving of salad is fresh too.
The black pepper chicken chop is done pretty well with a tasty black pepper sauce, with also a side of the spaghetti and salad.
The food is not super-fantastic, but it sure is above average and definitely worth the price. Staff is friendly as well. Hence this is one of my regular haunts. The soup and my drink of choice - apple juice with less ice Pan-fried dory fillet Black pepper chicken Games that you can borrow from the cafe for your entertainment. Popular with the little kids.
