Chwee Kuah are simply steamed rice cakes topped with preserved radish, they're indeed made from low-cost ingredients however it's the standard of one that keep us from going back to the stall. Usually just a mere dollar for 4 pieces of chwee kuah. Chwee Kuah at Bukit Timah Market Hawker Center serves soft yet not too mushy ones, it also has its rice fragrant and retains the natural rice sweetness. I like the fact that unlike some stalls, Chwee Kuah doesn't pour a load of sesame oil on top. Glad
