Manhattan Fish Market (MFM) is a good place to go if you are looking for nice and affordable seafood! I was there one evening with my friends and after walking 1 round around Bugis +, we decided to head to MFM for dinner.I ordered the Chicken of Liberty and Manhanttan Fish and Chips to share with my friend. I also ordered a potato salad for appetizer. The Chicken of Liberty came strongly recommended and thus holding high expectations, I bite into the chicken with bright eyes (and a hungry belly).
The Chicken of Liberty came strongly recommended and thus holding high expectations, I bite into the chicken with bright eyes (and a hungry belly). To my dismay, it’s not as nice as I thought. The meat is quite hard to chew on. The sauce that came with it is a nice complement for the chicken.
Needless to say, the fish and chips were tasty. Nothing can go wrong if you use fresh fish and fry it at the right time and heat. The same goes for the potato salad. Awesome.
The staffs were also quite attentive. When a waiter noticed that we just about used up all the paper napkins, he suddenly passed us another wad of serviettes. Thumbs up for attentiveness!
The total meal came up to about $17 per person which is pretty affordable in my opinion.
