Located on the ground floor of AMK Hub is Pepper Lunch. During weekday lunch hours from 12-1pm, there is usually a queue outside. This time I visited Pepper Lunch on a weekday at 1:30pm and we were the only ones in the queue. Pepper Lunch has expanded their menu to include omu rice (omelette rice) as well as curry sauces!
This Pepper Lunch outlet is actually quite big and seats quite a number of patrons. You don't have to find your own table, as the staff will help accomodate your party.
I had the salmon pepper rice and I added cheese 90cents. Gone were the days when we had cheese sauce poured in, now it is just grated cheese. Oh well! The cheese wasn't sufficient enough to clog my arteries but it was enough to spread around the rice. I really enjoyed the salmon cooked on the hot lunch plate. Slightly charred to perfection and the rice tasted great. They also provide extra sauces to drown your rice in.
For a $1 top up, you can add an ice cream to your meal. I highly recommend Goma (black sesame) it tasted really good, even though I am a green tea lover. The matcha syrup just wasn't cutting it for me.
