I was running errand in Hougang central so I drop by the Kopitiam at Hougang mall for dinner. They are sorta under revamp or something, quite a few usual stalls had moved. No more fave char kway tiao and hokkien mee. This type of mee hoon kway look similar to the Hakka 算盘子 but is made of mainly flour instead of yam. There was generous serving of caixin, some minced pork, beehoon and ikan bilis. The round shaped mee hoon kway is thicker and not cooked thoroughly...center still taste like flour, not nice. Luckily there is half a bowl of beehoon which I finished, leaving a pile of mee hoon kway behind. I better stick to regular ban mian next time.
