This is my regular hangout particularly on those days when i am unusually hungry and wanting a full dinner. We came back on a Sunday evening for an early dinner. After glanced through their menu, we decided to stick with our regular order of the Sweet & Sour Pork Ribs King ($8.00) and ordered halve of the Crispy Fried Chicken ($8.00) to have it with rice. The Crispy Fried Chicken has always been one of our favourite dishes here. Halve of the bird is of the right portion to be shared amongst 2 pax. It is of the size of a spring chicken. The skin of the chicken was well fried to give it the a nicely crisp texture. That thin layer of crispy skin tasted really good if eaten alone. The chicken meat has gotten its tenderness and juiciness intact. It was served with a small saucer of the mixture of pepper and sauce to be used as a dip for the chicken. I tried it but do not quite appreciate it hence would very much prefer to go without it.
The standard for the Sweet & Sour Pork Ribs King is still consistent. It tasted just exactly how we liked it but it will be even better if there was a little more sauce to be used to mix the white rice.
We enjoyed our dinner very much.
