One of my favourite places to go would be Keppel Bay, because waters seem to be a great therapy for relaxation and has a calming effect. With the harbour as a parking lot for the yacht, it is actually quite a romantic scene if you go with your beloved. For me, I had the luxury and the privilege to spend my morning with both my parents at Prive Cafe, which is one of the most popular Cafes in Singapore. With the walls painted skyblue, I felt really relaxed and my appetite was enlarged. I believe Singaporeans must never go on a day without coffee, and Prive Cafe has an excellent choice of different types of coffee as they have a barista coffee machine over there.
There was a slight hint of coffee taste, and it was quite an aroma. It didn't require sugar because it was already slightly sweet (and I prefer bitter coffee), and I could taste the quality of the milk. The froth wasn't as smooth as I'd preferred, there were bubbles appearing in the froth which made it too airy to taste.
Because the froth wasn't skilfully done, therefore the cappuccino was really sub-par as compared to other coffee outlets. I guess Prive wasn't famous for their coffee, but the roasted beans were quite delicious.. perhaps its just because that the milk that they made for us wasn't a freshly brewed one (or perhaps they have already steamed it the second time).
Eggs benedict is one of the safest choice anyone can order in Prive Cafe, it is also a popular favourite hashtag in instagram. Anyway, eggs benedict comes with bacon (and poached egg), cheese, and i really love the hollandaise made by Prive. The rocket salad was absolutely fresha nd delicious too! It was a perfect combination but the plate wasn't hot and it cooled the food fairly quickly. By the time I Finished taking the pictures of the food, it wasn't as warm as before. The poached eggs are really good, but not as good as the ones I ate in SMU THe Basement. The yolk broke too easily.
