I don't normally review buffets at events that I attend but this caterer is one class above the rest! I was at a recent movie premiere night and though the preview lounge was very small, Mum's Kitchen, managed to set up the food in a corner and desserts in another corner. I was at a recent movie premiere night and though the preview lounge was very small, Mum's Kitchen, managed to set up the food in a corner and desserts in another corner. The way they displayed the food trays, made it easy to reach all the items and yet not obstruct the passage flow of people streaming into the lounge.
The pasta was infused with crab stick and mushrooms and was over the top for me. I definitely felt it was one of the best tasting staples I had ever come across at a catered buffet. The sweet and sour fish and beef slices were slightly better than your typical offerings. The otah fish wasn't too spicy and though it looked dry, it really wasn't dry at all.The desserts were eclairs and fruit tarts which were frequently replenished throughout the night.
