Ingredients in decreasing order: Porridge, century egg, pork, fried onions, ginger, "cong", oil. As you can see from the first picture, there is a layer of oil at the side. Without the oil, the porridge actually taste a little to the lumpy side. When mixed together at the second picture, the porridge texture changes: smoother and easier to swallow it. The oil may not be healthy for you, but it makes the porridge taste better. Further more if the oil used is olive oil, it may be good for you none

When mixed together at the second picture, the porridge texture changes: smoother and easier to swallow it. The oil may not be healthy for you, but it makes the porridge taste better. Further more if the oil used is olive oil, it may be good for you nonetheless. The porridge, I could say, is a balanced meal to a extent .
I really love this porridge mainly because of the more than enough century egg to most people. To me, it could still be added more. But I have to say that this century egg porridge has the most amount of century egg in it compared to wherever I have eaten. And I can say the chunk of the century egg is not cut into super small cubes where you could not taste the century egg. On the other hand, people who don't really enjoy century egg will find this dish a disappointment. But wait, why would you order this if you don't like century egg? I mean, it's called century egg porridge for a reason and not porridge century egg!
The minced pork ball is so-so. I assume it is marinated mildly only but good enough for me.
Because my friend bought this for me in the morning, the ginger slices are still really fresh as I could taste from it.
The fried onions however, is a little disappointing. It is because I could taste that it is actually processed and not literally fried from them. They may have bought this in bulk to save hassle . Would be really good if they could fried it themselves. But what can you ask for if you are only buying this delicious porridge filled with a lot of century eggs medium sized cube at only 2.50? Yes, all these only for 2.50. You could upsize to 3.00 but for me the normal 2.50 one is good enough for me.
Really recommend it for century egg porridge lovers .
