The zi char place here is popular with those living in the Woodlands area. During weekends, it's best to call earlier to book a table as the place gets really busy. We booked a table for six at 6 pm and the place was full when we reached there. We had to wait for half an hour before our food starts arriving. Most dishes tasted alright, I guess the main drawing point of this place is the low cost. Btw, apologies for some of the blurred pictures. Had to take them in a haste before the hungry diner
- Broccoli with mushroomsTasted normal.
- Watercress soup with pork ribsTasted a bit salty, think a bit too much soya sauce was added. Plenty of pork ribs given though.
- Pork ribs king (排骨王)Drizzled with a sweet and sour sauce, meat was quite tender.
- Sambal kang kongTasted normal.
- Hotplate TofuTasted normal.
- Hotplate black pepper venisonCame a bit charred for the venison. Has not encountered this for the numerous times I've eaten at this place before. Possibly chef has overcooked the dish due to the large crowd.
An ok place to try if you want a simple affordable zi char meal.
