Being a typical Singaporean, nasi lemak is one of my breakfast menu.

Zaleha stall is popular for their nasi lemak and between 8.30 to 9 am every morning the nasi are all sold out.

Nasi Lemak is a fragrant rice dish cooked in coconut milk and pandan leaf.

There are two types of nasi lemak from this stall either chicken or fish.

The chicken nasi lemak has a piece of well deep fried chicken wing marinated with turmeric, a reasonable piece of egg omelette, slices of cucmber and best of all the sambal chilli.

The taste of the sambal chilli is very consistent. There is some sweetness in this chilli sauce that goes well with the nasi lemak which makes the food palatable.

Previously sold at S$2.50 per packet but during Ramadan the price is now S$3.00.
