Mr Chicken Rice is opened by the retrenched chef from Chatterbox at the Mandarin hotel. A big newspaper cutting of the chef is displayed in the restaurant. It is self serving here. You placed your order with the cashier (the chef in the newspaper cutting), paid and collected your order. Being branded as the Chatterbox chicken rice, I was a bit disappointed as I find that the chicken was quite normal. I have eaten better ones eleswhere. The rice had a rich chicken and ginger flavour but the rice was too hard for my liking. Don't get me wrong, the chicken rice was good but maybe I was disappointed by my high expectation.
