The salted caramel makes all the difference in this chewy brownie thats good down to the very last morsel. A tasty contrast of savoury and caramel, the gooey caramel complements the brownie. While the brownie is slighly flat, the chewy taste justifies its flatness. It's less fluffy than I would have liked but the texture went well with the caramel. This surprisingly wasn't too sweet for me, but I doubt i'll be able to finish off one brownie slice alone!
The famous hei ice cream is made from their very own dark chocolate. One scoop goes for $4.50 while 2 scoops are $8 so you should definitely grab a friend and share this. Two scoops are more than sufficient because the scoops are so generously dolloped! The ice cream isnt thick to the point where it borders on powdery, the distinct chocolateyness is there, and it has a quality which is rich and not too milky. I liked that it was slightly bitter However, you do get sick of the taste cos its so rich!There is no service charge or GST, and ordering is at the counter. The chocolate creations here are definitely above average, and I would say that the hei ice cream is worth a try since someone like me (who never eats chocolate ice cream) liked this ice cream. My fav would still go to the brownie though! Salted caramel always goes well with chocolate.
