I happened to be settling some stuff at toa payoh so drove over to toa payoh west market with my girlfriend for lunch. We ordered plate of fried hokkien prawn mee from this stall. I must say, this hokkien mee was indeed delicious. the way they fried the noodles, it was really fragrant and tempting even before you tuck in. they used really fresh prawns, the prawns are fat and sweet and succulent. It think they used the prawn head to make the gravy or something cos the gravy is simply so sweet and tasty. However I think the lard kind of made the dish a little oily but it did give it extra fragrance. Nevertheless, we were very satisfied with wad we got and it was not too dry or wet too.
