I am back with my food post again!Kinda busy with my workloads recently. I was craving for the dessert and decided to head over to Platypus Kitchen for dinner with one of my friend. Had my first visit during my April food trail and missing the taste of the dessert. Dinner during weekdays wasn’t packed and we got the seats immediately. Dinner during weekdays wasn’t packed and we got the seats immediately. When we are about to place order, the staff took the initiative to suggest us for the promotion set from $16.90++. We go ahead with the suggestion and select our spaghetti choice and ordered ala carte to top up our dinner feast.
Ala carte : Clams & Clams @ S$7.50 . Venus clams steam-cooked in garlic butter and white wine. The garlic butter taste was strong but didn’t get to taste much of the white wine. But the clams taste delicious as the presentation though.The promotion set of S$16.90++ comes with 2 choice of soups – Pumpkin soup and mushroom soup. We tried both of them and my friend said the pumpkin soup is very rich and flavorful and the mushroom soup was rich as well.
We also get to choose a drink of lists of the available drinks.Our drink choice is Mojito Mint Iced Tea.
Here comes my main course.Truffle Carbonara Dinning Pasta @ S$18.80 (ala-carte Price). Rich carbonara sauce blends well with the pasta and the portion was just nice per serving.
My friend ordered Proscuitto & Truffle Dinning Pasta @ S$19.30 (ala-carte Price). Something new to us. The proscuitto taste delicious with the truffle. Splendid combination for a choice
Dinner ended perfectly well with Sea Salt Caramel dessert @S$6.90. I am missing the ‘pop pop’ sea salt that goes into my mouth. Totally cheer up my day with stressful work.Total bill inclusive of 10% service charge and 7%GST was S$61.80 for 2 persons.
