Headed down to Tawandang with a couple of my colleagues for dinner one rainy evening. Heard quite a bit about this German/Thai eatery that apparently serves up decent food with a mean beer to go along. But quality honestly didn't live up to expectations. The thai mango salad was nicely tart but the dried shrimps in it were limp and tasted stale. The pork knuckles fared better even though I did find it a little too fatty for my liking. But the crisp skin did save things a little. What I found insipid was the sausage platter, packing in the sodium and steep prices. The best dish was probably the BBQ squid, which had a nice chew to it but lacking in charcoal goodness.

Definitely will not be making my way back especially with the relatively steep pricing and average food quality.
