I have always been a fan of yoshinoya beef bowl. I was drawn to this branch with the vibrant colour signboard promoting their student value meal. There were two options, one with the bowl of rice and a drink for $4.95 and the other with a bowl of rice, drink and the platter for one more dollar. Of course I opted for the platter meal. My beef bowl came first while the manager promised to send me the platter. After waiting for a while, I was disappointed to see the platter that was served to me. It looked absolutely different from the picture. The picture had a variety of different side dishes but mine only came with a few pieces of the waffles fries. absolutely no variety. The waffles fries were rather oily as well.
Nevertheless I am there for their delicious beef bowl, the beef is sliced so thinly, so perfectly seasoned. I guess I will stick to the bowl and drink student set in future.
