My first visit to Triple Three was a disappointing one. I sent in an email about 2 weeks ago to make a reservation for today and someone called me upon received of the email to confirm my reservation. The selection for appetiser was pretty limited. I skipped the green salad but went for the smoked salmon. The smoked salmon got snapped up pretty fast. The potato salad was a disappointment. The cold prawns were a nice choice but the mussels and the sliced ham tasted just fine.
The mains were as boring as well. The fried fish stated under the Chef's speciality did not manage to leave an impression. The turkey dish was passable too. These 2 dishes seemed to be the only cooked dish to have it with the steamed rice. There were fried chicken, calamari rings, roasted duck etc. The teppanyaki and pasta served upon order.
They served salmon sashimi and sushi, too. I personally enjoyed the sashimi quite a bit. It tasted really fresh particularly after added in the lemon juice.
The selection of pastries was rather limited too. I enjoyed the brownies amongst others. The rest failed to develop a liking. And, i did not expect to see the canned longan with Sea Coconut as dessert. It is such a convenience choice and I honestly did not expect to see it as part of the buffet lunch in such an exquisite hotel.
There were coffee stations that served quality coffee, expresso and even cuppuccino for self-service.
We paid a total of $80.05 for 2 pax inclusive of GST and Service Charge using the Groupon Vouchers. Though we paid a discounted price to have lunch there but we did not get the value for what we paid. Sadly, this was one of the worst buffets that i had to reckon a return.
