Finally tried this place after hearing about its fusion styled cuisine. Pretty nicely decorated i must say, with a semi open concept kitchen as well whereby you can see the chefs looking serious in their food preparation This semi restaurant style place also offers free wifi which is a nice touch. First look at the paper menu you can tell its fusion cuisine direction, with "taste of the new era" focusing on combining Asian cuisine with a touch of western styling for e.g. strawberry sauce prawn noodle, Grilled Black Pepper Pork Rib Noodle etc and "Taste of the Good Old Days" the traditional style of prawn noodles and local dishes. I opt for the meat roll noodle soup which had the meat rolled with salted egg york combined with chewy and QQ ramen noodles.

I find the soup base not strong enough but fortunately with the red pepper set provided, manage to get its taste to a acceptable standard. The noodle is not like our usual mee kia, its thicker and pretty QQ. But the meat with salted egg did not disappoint, also being soup base nature, the meat and egg do not taste too salty nor oily.

Me and my friends also shared a salmon salad and crispy tofu.

The latter is worth mentioning , especially with its crispy golden brown exterior and silky toufu inside, dip in the mayonnaise sauce, it certainly keeps the taste bud working. For dessert i tried the durian cheesecake and also chrysanthemum jelly. Both were above average with the chrysanthemum jelly impressing. i've never tasted chrysanthemum in that manner and the flavour is further enhanced with real petals and wolf-berry inside. The durian cheesecake require a little defrosting first before it has easy to the fork and knife, i like the fact they it does not smell too heavy nor leave a stench after smell in your mouth. We were also told all the desserts are made in house by the restaurant manager, impressive!

Would certainly return again to try other food like the strawberry sauce prawn noodle and prawn and bacon noodle with spinach look alike noodles, but i do hope the stall keeps up its good work and fine tune the soup recipe which i believe should be the key selling point.
