Gusttimo Gelato can be tricky to find if you're not familiar with ION. It's located at the corner of the first level, next to Alfresco Gusto bistro. Just a small stall, it can attract quite a crowd despite its steep prices. It's $7.20 for a piccolo, or a cup with 3 flavours -don't be deceived by the '3 flavours', the cup size is actually quite tiny!! You can only opt for the $8.40 cup, with 4 flavours but really -the 3 flavours are more than enough!*There is also a takehome pack for $20++. A bit

They offer a good range of flavours including fruitier varieties such as Peach Lavender, Mango, Kiwi and Strawberry. They also have more decadent choices such as their (top favourite, no surprise) chocolate, walnut, Caffe Latte (coffee) and Cookies & Cream.

They close from 4.30 to 6pm, so it's best to go at 4pm or even before, or else the favourite flavours run out!

This combination is both fruity and creamy. The mango had a fragrant mango aroma, which reminded me of preserved mangoes...Surprisingly it wasn't too sweet! The strawberries & cream were delicious, it wasn't too icy in texture and had the faint taste of real strawberries instead of just the artificial flavouring that we have become accustomed to. The coffee was fantastic, slightly bitter aftertaste -but I liked how creamy and smooth it was.

Latte is presumably a milk flavour -it gave a contrast to the otherwise sweet flavours I had chosen. Caffe Latte had offset it slightly with its bitterness, but latte gave it a creamy finish that wasn't too sweet -it didn't have the sickening milky aromaa, it was instead plain but not boring, simple but not inadequate. The cookies & cream flavour was sightly more interesting. It had the distinct flavour of cookie dough, but without the cloying sweetness of it. It was a nice rich addition, complementing the smooth Latte as well as the mildly bitter coffee. A good combination.

I also tried the Panna Cotta flavour, which went much better than expected! It had more body compared to Latte, but compensated with its sweetness that was slightly too much for me if it were paired with stronger flavours such as Cookies & Cream or Caffe Latte. It was rich and had the creamy taste of an actual panna cotta -this i wasn't expecting. Delicious -but best paired with something slightly fruity and mild like the strawberries & cream.

While the flavours weren't totally controversial and the price is...well, not exactly desireable, this place serves gelato which isn't too sweet -this we all enjoyed. The gelato was dense, smooth and creamy without being sickeningly sweet. The portion is just right, but the price is a little steep.
