Visited Yayoiken when i was shopping around Bugis with my friend. I ordered a Nasu miso Hokke set as i like brinjals (also known as eggplants). The set comes with a miso soup, a cold tofu, a bowl of rice with my nasu miso and hokke fish. The nasu is dried fried to soft on the inside yet not oily. Stir-fried with red miso and thinly slice pork, it was very appetising though rather salty. The Hokke is salted and grilled lightly such that it has a nice charred aroma, but the meat remain moist. The miso soup contains seaweeds and small cubes of tofu, just like most of the miso soup served in Japanese restaurants. Lastle, the cold tofu is really soft and sort of melts in your mouth.
I recommend this for a nice, hearty well-balance meal.
