I can't emphasize how much I like all things green tea, which is why it was love at first bite for me with Bread Talk's green tea swiss roll cake. This green tea cake is slightly different from the normal ones that I have eaten from breadtalk. The inner layer of the cake as you can see from the photo has a slightly deeper hue of green than the outer layer for some reason. As I bought the packet of 5 for $5, I did not realise it until I went home and took out all five cakes. Two of the cakes are like this and the other three are normal with the same hue of green. This 'unique' cake is more dense in taste as compared to the normal one, probably because the cake has not risen enough. The normal ones are slightly more spongy and softer. Regardless, it is still very tasty. I will pick the green tea over the chocolate roll anytime!
