After all the Chinese new year snacking, we decided to have a cooling and healthy dessert. That is why we ordered the herbal jelly instead of the soya beancurd pudding since the herbal jelly is believed to be helpful in cooling the body after eating heaty stuff.As I have tasted the real herbal jelly, I felt that this is really not authentic at all – it tastes more like the grass jelly instead of the herbal jelly. As I have tasted the real herbal jelly, I felt that this is really not authentic at all – it tastes more like the grass jelly instead of the herbal jelly. The taste is more towards being sweet and there is very minimal, if not no herbal taste at all. That said, this is still a healthier alternative to other cold desserts. I think little kids will be able to eat it without complaining about the taste.
