Signature Dishes
After all the Chinese new year snacking, we decided to have a cooling and healthy dessert. That is why we ordered the herbal jelly instead of the soya beancurd pudding since the herbal jelly is believed to be helpful in cooling the body after eating heaty stuff. As I have tasted the real herbal jelly, I felt that this is really not authentic at all – it tastes more like the grass jelly instead of the herbal jelly. The taste is more towards being sweet and there is very minimal, if not no herbal taste at all. That said, this is still a healthier alternative to other cold desserts. I think little kids will be able to eat it without complaining about the taste.

What attracts us to buy their dessert was the interesting name ''Chi Ni Dou Fu''. It is creative and easy to remember. I was recommended by a Malaysian friend that the 'Tau Huay' of this stall is very smooth and 'slippery'.It was so colourful when looking at menu. Every flavour has its own signature colour. It declared itself as real flavour of Soya Bean Curd. Indeed, the taste was quite similiar to normal Soya Bean Curd, but it was slightly a bit tender. It is an organic food, definitely more healthier than other dessert. I bought Original flavour for myself. A strong aroma of soya filled my mouth, that was simply an pleasant experience that I would never forget. A pure soya bean curd ever eat before. For me, the price is reasonable. Costed me $2.00++ each cup depends on the flavours you choose. To avoid any disappointment for the famous flavours, you may call (Tel No.: 8328 2488) to place your orders before you make a trip down to the stall itself.

"Chi Ni Dou Fu" always has the best "tau huey", soya bean. They give generous amount of soya bean in their product that's why you can literally taste the soya bean with just one mouth.I particularly love the mango pudding. Not only it is differently from the other stalls' mango pudding, it is also sold at a reasonable price at S$2.50. The mango pudding has two layer. The gap in between the pudding is filled up with mango fruit. I was pleasantly surprise at the fruit hidden in it .

What new craze are we having now in Singapore? Haha. Its chilled beancurd! It s another new craze other than bubble tea! Seeing many new stalls selling this kind of chilled beancurb which has many different type of flavours available unlike those traditional beancurb we been having since young.Even my dad know about this new craze. Just recently, he bought these chilled beancurb home for our supper. Chi Ni Dou Fu. A rather cute name right? I eat your dou fu. hehe. Anyway, this is the first time trying out this type of chilled beancurb. Why? I wasnt into queueing for the beancurb. Glad that my dad bought for us! Before trying this chilled beancurb, I realised from the container cover that this stall is emphazing on using 100% organic soya bean, no preservative and no gypsum powder and most importanly its freshly made! Wow, isnt that a much healtier version of tau huay! And it tasted yummy too. My dad got me a sweet corn flavour. Its tasted really nice, quite refreshing and not too sweet. And the beancurb texture was very soft, smooth and a little creamy. Slurps!
