Nowadays it is quite common for food centres to be located at MRT stations. I think this food court is fairly recent as I don't recall seeing it in the past. As I was nursing a cold, I decided to have something soupy for my dinner. I ordered from the herbal soups stall, the red dates and lotus root soup. The soup comes with red dates, lotus roots and some pork. The soup is rather light tasting and it doesn't feel very heavy. The lotus roots are quite crunchy to munch on and I dipped it in the sauce so that it has more taste. The meat is rather tough. It could have been better if the meat is more tender. It is a comforting soup as it is warm and it helped in alleviating my cold a little as I was sneezing non-stop before having my meal. I guess a hot soup always helps in making the body warm.
