This is a hidden cafe serving Eurasian food. It is located in the Kun Yan Methodist Church. It is 1 min walk from the exit A of Bras Basah MRT & very convenient. The cafe is bright and air-con simply decorated with simple table and chair. Corner of the entrance had a sofa sitting and in the middle it has a long bar top dinning table. The owner Mary Gomez serves Eurasian Food such as Chicken Debal, Feng, Eurasian Curry Puff, Salted Fish Achar and Vegetable Achar. Her value for money daily set lunc
The Chicken Curry Debal taste is similar to what my aunty used to cooked, but we called it the Curry chicken Devil as it can be really spicy hot. For these dishes, she put in pieces of sausage beside the chicken and potato. The gravy is a light spicy curry with no coconut milk. This dish is normally served during X'mas period using the leftover of turkey, roast pork which are added to the curry chicken. Mary version is tasty but a little oily, I would prefer to remove the chicken skin so that it is healthier.
The Pepper Pork Belly is similar to Soya Sauce Pork but the pork belly is cut into big chunk & cooked with soy sauce & lots of pepper. I love the yummy gravy to go with rice but due to using Pork belly it is too oily for me.
We also ordered a plate of Kueh Pie Ti for $3. The shell of the Kueh Pie Ti was commercial made & filling was quite good.
