Tried the fishball mushroom minced meat noodles ($2.50) from this stall today. There were 2 fishballs, one meatball, a few pieces of fish cake, minced meat and braised mushrooms as ingredients. As for the flavoring of the noodles, the chili and vinegar tasted ok as well. Although lard was added to the noodles, I could not taste the difference for by right it should lend an extra fragrance to the dish. Perhaps they used commercial bought lard or did not fry it before hand to bring out the fragrance? (Just a little speculation that's all) All-in-all, it's just a regular bowl of bak chor mee, nothing to shout about. There were still quite a few patrons at this stall still. Well, actually there are people who simply loves to eat bak chor mee as their staple lunch meal and as long as it does not taste too bad and the price is ok, people will still patronize the stall.
