Sushi Tei's sashimi salad ($9) drizzled with Sushi Tei's SECRET RECIPE sauce is mind-blowingly awesome!!
the veggies are fresh and crisp, and the sashimi is just lovely. there are a few types of sauces for you to chose, but why go for the others when the sushi tei sauce is just soooo good?

another big draw for me at sushi tei would be their fried garlic rice ($8). i have found no other place which is able to produce garlic rice of such high standards. so far, in my opinion, it is unbeatable. but please please comment and tell me if you know of any awesome place to rival this ok!! (: (: the garlic rice here is so fragrant, you can't help but salivate just smelling the dish. yummm! every moist grain of rice is suffused with the aroma of garlic. the red ginger slices and other ingredients just add to the flavour of the dish.

usually we order a plate of sushi to share when we come here, but it is not the main attraction, unlike the two lovelies above (: nevertheless, i like sushi tei's interesting take on sushi. they have a few interesting ones like the golden roll ($14) we ordered this time. it's sushi containing a nicely fried king prawn, wrapped with mango and topped with fish roe! the sweetness of the mango and savoury prawn go surprisingly well with each other, and this is a lovely dish to behold. the presentation is so pretty! (:

and of course, we can never miss out teriyaki when we're at a japanese restaurant! i just LOVE that sauce! (: we ordered teriyaki salmon ($10). there is also the option of shio salmon, but why would you just want a salted fish, when you can enjoy the sauce-y version?! okay, maybe it's just me. i love and NEED sauce ;) which is why i loved this dish because the amount of sauce was so generous! and the fish was cooked just perfectly, nice and soft
yum!
