Today I am treated to a lunch buffet at the hotel after a morning session of seminar. Lunch is the usual buffet affair at the hotel's buffet restaurant, which is Plaza Brasserie. The range is limited, compared to restaurants such as The Line and Triple Three. The restaurant is decorated in a resort style way with its wooden furniture.First row is a selection of cheese and bread.Second row is a selection of desserts ranging from Honey Dew Sago, Fruit Cocktail, Peanut coated Mochi, Durian Pengat,
There is also hot drink counter with machines offering coffee and Twinings tea bags (English Breakfast Tea, Jasmine Tea, Green Tea, Mint Tea and Chamomile Tea).
Next is the Live Station area. The sushi and sashimi counter is the hot favourite with its never ending crowd. Sashimi is sliced upon order. The sashimi is quite fresh in taste.
Next is the noodle counter which has Beef Kuey Teow Soup for today. I have not tried it as I am too full for it. This is followed by the deep fried counter which served Deep Fried Prawns and Fries. The fries is huge, crispy and soft inside. I am surprised to find Hakka Abacus Beads (客家算盘子) next to the counter. The version served here is very tasty and flavourful, with a hint of the yam taste in the beads. Lots of mushroom too. Lastly is the crepe counter. Crepe is made upon order and served with a range of condiments such as Maple syrup, Peanut Butter, Kaya and Chocolate Sauce. The crepe is quite thin but lack of crispiness.
Overall the food is great. Plates is cleared quite swiftly, despite having a large group of people.
