We finally reach this place after a long walk from Kent Ridge. Although it is a weekend night, it is not very crowded. Anyway our host has thoughtfully made a reservation for us to dine indoor. The restaurant is quite big with both indoor and outdoor dining area. Bottles of water, plates and cutlery are thoughfully placed on the table. At the display counter, lies rows of delicious looking cakes and tarts. It makes me wants to head straight to desserts for dinner and forget about the mains.

Penne Alla Carbonara ($22++)
with tender chicken chunks, crispy bacon, button mushrooms,flat-leaf parsley topped with an egg yolk
The serving looks quite small in the bowl, about less than half. It tastes simple and great, as it does not taste jelat even after eating for sometimes. No wonder a lot of people order this when they come here to eat.

Tuna Niçoise 10-Inch Stone-Baked Pizza ($18++)
with tuna, peppers, olives, capers, egg, tomato & mozzarella cheese
The pizza arrives after 20 minutes waiting time. Looks great on a wooden board, but taste is otherwise. The worst part is the tomato paste which reminds me of the canned version commonly found in the supermarket with its very tart and dry taste.

Sticky Date Pudding ($12++)
with homemade butterscotch, walnuts & vanilla bean ice cream
I have read up in a blog that this dish is very nice. It seems the co-owner of Prive used to operate a restaurant called Brown Sugar which served great sticky date pudding. The sticky date pudding is served pipping hot. It tastes sweet, soft and moist with bits of dates. Seldom could I really taste date in a sticky date pudding. A great well done dessert.

Overall it is a great meal, except for the pizza. We have a bit of problems of getting the attention of the staffs when it is time to bill, even when there is not much customers about and we are sitting right in front of the cashier. Other than that, plates are cleared smoothly and ice is refilled often.
