reopened a few months ago - in the same location, but with a new look that makes take-away more accessible.
We tried the Signature Bee Hoon and Fried Hor Fun - both with seafood.
The Bee Hoon was lightly stir-fried in a special sauce that made the dish very tasty indeed.
At one glance, it looked like simple soup noodles, but upon tasting, it was really something else. It was wet but not soupy. It was filled with wholesome vegatables, seafood and fried egg. So it was kind of an in-between of wet and dry noodles.
The Fried Hor Fun was equally good - not too dry or oily.
There was a generous amount of seafood and it tasted great with green chilli.
Overall the two dishes were great, except that the portion was a little smaller than what we had received pre - re -renovation.
Price-wise, it was a little expensive, when compared with other similar set-ups.
The only problem would be the difficulty in communicating with the ''I can't speak English!''
waitresses. It was really an uphill task trying to tell her that we wanted only seafood.
Hopefully something could be done about that in the future.
All said and done, I will definitely be back for more!
