Harry's is well known as a chain of bars in Singapore with about 20 outlets. Recently its menu has undergone a change. Its Boat Quay branch now even offers breakfast from 8am to 10.30am. Today I was invited to a tasting of its new menu at its Boat Quay outlet. The outlet is located at a row of shophouses, next to UOB plaza. The place has outdoor al fresco dining by the river, as indoor aircon dining area. The indoor dine in area occupied 2 levels. The place was decorated tastefully in a dark and
A bright vodka-based concoction with notes of the blue curacao, lychee liqueur, grapefruit juice and a splash of grenadine syrup
It was a 2 colour tone drink with blue on top and red below. When mixed, it turned into purple colour. It was quite a light fruity drink.
Signature blended concoction where fruity notes of peach schnapps and sliced peaches are complemented by the grenadine syrup. Topped with bubbly for a celebration
The drink tasted stronger in alcohol than the first drink and kind of reminded me of papaya fruit juice surprisely.
Enjoy fruity notes of vodka and watermelon liqueur shaken with lemon juice to balance the sweetness.
Compared to the other 2 drinks, it was much stronger in alcohol taste. It was quite a sweet fruity drink.
Cucumber and Mint Mocktail
It was a refreshing ice blended drink.
Peach and Mint Mocktail
A refreshing soda drink with juicy slices of peach in it.
Harry's signature treat when friends come by : crispy wings dressed with house blend of spices.
The chicken wings were juicy and tasted slightly spicy.
An extra punch to your crunch : Enjoy these crisps with breaded calamari and baby horse mackerels.
I like the small fried fish which kind of reminded me of smelt fish without the roes. Best had it with beer.
A man with a flavourful plate of crispy beef is a happy man indeed.
The meat was very tender and flavourful. I thought I was having sweet and sour pork at first.
Bite-size fun that packs a punch: tossed with masala spice mix and drizzled with curried mayonnaise. Perfect for popping with a game on screen.
The dish was mostly soft bones. There was barely any meat.
Sriracha-based flatbread topped with prawns and squid rings for a delicious treat!
Slightly spicy with juicy prawns.
Crisp flatbread with aromatic garlic mayonnaise, field mushrooms and truffle oil for a pleasing earthiness
It smelt yummy with the truffle oil smell. Thinly crusted and filled with lots of sliced juicy mushrooms.
Chilled soba noodles with breaded mushrooms and a drizzle of truffle oil for a pleasing earthiness.
It was a refreshing dish with the noodles tossed with creamy sesame dressing and juicy sweet corns. The crispy and light breaded mushrooms gave the dish and extra crunch.
Tender, slow-cooked braised cheeks contrasted with onion rings, served on a bed of creamy mash.
The beef was super tender and tore out easily with just a fork. It tasted very flavourful too.
Nachos-breaded Halibut topped with jalapeno cheese sauce and tartar sauce, held together between toasted burger buns. Served with chips and kimchi-slaw.
The breaded fish was crispy outside, while juicy inside. Interesting spicy coleslaw.
A cheeky twist on everyone's favourite dessert with cheesecake and half a shot of Baileys on the side. Hic.
It tasted like vanilla ice cream with brownies in it, but one can feel the heat of the liquor flowing down the throat.
Overall the food was delicious and servings were huge that we could not finish the dishes. Maybe because the crowd was huge. Our orders of drinks took quite awhile to arrive and there was some mix up on certain orders too. There was free wifi available, so remember to ask the staffs for the password.
