As usual this dish never fails to peak me up although amount has been reduced over the years. Foie Gras ($7.90++)
Pan-seared duck liver served with creamy lentils & pickled pearl onion.
The lentils is not creamy at all, so disappointed. Salmon Confit ($9.90++)
Served with Apple & Fennel with lemon vinaigrette.
I remember the last time when I had this dish, it looked more cooked than now. The minced plum looks abit discoloured. Duck Breast ($13.90)
Pan-fried Duck Breast seasoned with mixed spice, served with polenta cake, pear compote, dried fruits and duck jus.
Mixed Spice : Coriander seed , cumin seed and peppercorn.
The duck meat is a bit tough. The polenta cake is kind tasteless on its own. But the dried fruits kind of make up for it. Hachis Parmentier ($14.90++)
Minced Beef with Potato Mash, served with mesclun salad and toasted bread. Interestingly the minced beef looks like shredded duck meat to me. It tastes real nice and hot on toast.
