I'd heard of Soyato from some friends who work in the Bugis area but only managed to try it for myself a few days ago. I was pleasantly surprised because it didn't taste like the usual soya bean ice creams I've had before - in fact, in most flavours, I'd have thought that it was just regular ice cream! I was even more surprised when I heard that they don't use any dairy products at all... which makes it very healthy.

The staff allowed me to sample the flavours, which was good. They have flavours ranging from "heavier" ones like chocolate and peanut butter, and "lighter" ones like mango and honey lemon. In the end, I got myself a double scoop of apple cinnamon (tastes like apple pie!!) and honey lemon (so refreshing). AWESOME
And there was a Happy Hour discount at that time, which made my purchase only $4.50 for 2 scoops!

I'd definitely come back again to try the rest of the flavours. Love the idea of being able to satisfy my sweet tooth without feeling that guilty pinch...!
