I've long heard about how Platypus Kitchen offers affordable Italian cuisine and pasta, so I thought I have to ask one of my really good friends along to try this place out! It is hidden on the other side of Bugis Junction. They have a huge selection on the menu. Seafood, Meat-Based, Classics, Sides, Salads, and a lot of desserts! I ordered the Lemon Prawn Parppadelle ($13.80++) set meal which comes with the pasta, soup and Iced Lemon Tea. The pasta type is parppadelle, a flatter thicker sort of pasta which doesn't have much springy bite to speak of. Taste-wise it could be a little more intense in all areas - could be more salty and tangy. The prawns are still a little limpid and small, but generally still acceptable. They also peeled the prawns, luckily. I enjoyed the cherry tomatoes which were powerfully packed with sweetness and juiciness!

This is the Saffron & Caviar Risotto ($13.80++) set meal which my friend ordered. I don't really like risotto that much but my friend enjoyed it.
