Funny story. My friend and I went to Duxton Road to try out this restaurant recommended by a friend. But when we got there, it was already closed! With no plan B, we just walked and walked until we saw L'entrecote. Out of all the restaurants that night, this had the most diners -- so we guessed that the food must be good.

Even with all the customers (mostly expats), we managed to get a table for 2. My friend ordered the entrecote steak drizzled with their secret sauce. It was served with salad and fries. I had the sardine in tin, which was served with bread, lemon, and salt. Then, we shared the food.

The sardines was high quality without that lingering fishy taste. It was a great appetiser, especiallly when you top it on the bread, drizzle lemon juice, and add a bit of salt. As for the steak, I wasn't so impressed. In all honesty, Ive tried better ones. I prefer my steak to be fatty! Haha. Plus, I prefer the raw taste. The version I had was just swimming in the sauce, which tasted like the burger steak sauce at this fastfood chain in the PH. It wasn't bad.. but it wasn't impressive.... It was just OK.
