It took me a while of pacing up and down the display cases, reading and re-reading the descriptions before I finally settled on the San Remo. The San Remo is supposed to be a combination of creamy lemon cheesecake with a raspberry center sitting atop a pistachio sponge cake base.
The lemon cheesecake, which was more like a super creamy mousse rather than the dense cheesecakes I prefer, was not tangy enough and mostly just tasted sweet. The raspberry center tasted a bit too much like the stuff you get from jam bottles. The pistachio base was nice though.
Perhaps I tried the wrong thing on my first visit (I heard their macaroons can rival those from TWG) so I may drop by another time - that is if I can get over the price and rather inconvenient location!
