Have read lots of review that cited that the Boon Tong Kee Chicken Rice standard has dropped due to them being far too commercialized when they expanded from a small humble stall to a few shops across the island. Have read lots of review that cited that the Boon Tong Kee Chicken Rice standard has dropped due to them being far too commercialized when they expanded from a small humble stall to a few shops across the island.

I decided to give it a try as I don't want to miss out reviewing one of Singapore's largest chain of Chicken Rice stall. Also, it's almost 10pm after my event ends and not much eateries were opened at this timing.

Service was fast and the place was brightly lit up. Although it's so late, still alot of people were eating. Proper hygiene was observed as cutleries were placed inside a cute paper bag and also additional table cloth were used.

I was truly amused when they served in our Chicken Rice set. Instead of the usual rice in a round rice bowl, their rice was served on a place in a pyramid shaped! I wondered how they did it? Our plate of chicken was glistening with oil and comes with skin and bones.

One mouthful of the rice and I can taste the deep fragrance of it. Boyfriend even ordered a second plate of rice. The chicken is tender and tasty and we were delighted to find pickles added in.

I don't really like their seafood fried egg as I find it too salty and don't goes well with the Chicken Rice.

Overall, I think that this is not a place that I would visit if I'm craving for Chicken Rice. However, since it's a nice eating place, it serves well when recommending to overseas friend. The downside to eating here is also the price. Still feels that it's way too expansive for a plate of chicken rice.
