There has been so much rave about Paul Bakery few months back, and the queues were ridiculously long on weekends. Which kind of puts me off especially when you just want to rest your tired legs and cool down from the sweltering heat. So with the recent die down in the crazy crowds outside Paul, I decided to give it a shot.I ordered the Mix Fruit Tart (S$7) which was so-so at best. In fact, I prefer the ones at Delifrance. There has been so much rave about Paul Bakery few months back, and the queues were ridiculously long on weekends. Which kind of puts me off especially when you just want to rest your tired legs and cool down from the sweltering heat. So with the recent die down in the crazy crowds outside Paul, I decided to give it a shot.

I ordered the Mix Fruit Tart (S$7) which was so-so at best. In fact, I prefer the ones at Delifrance. The pastry of the tart was overly crumbly and tasted quite rough and tasteless.

I love french crepes and being a famous French Bakery, I thought I should try the crepes here at Paul. Sadly, the crepes fell short of expectation. It was soggy, and I wasn't even sure if they were freshly made as it wasn't hot or even warm. The chocolate sauce tasted like what i could get out of a hershey bottle. Nothing fantastic to make me wanna go back for more. On top of that, the overly priced crepe made me feel that it's really not worth my while.

I probably won't be back so soon. Especially not when I have to pay so much for something not so satisfying.
