I learn of Paul Bakery's during my trip to Paris in the beginning of the year as it was commonly seen in the streets there. Croissant was very crispy externally with all the flakes detaching from it as we bite. What's interesting is that it does has an extraordinary burn smell (just a little) that makes the bite more interesting with its pillow soft interior. Though its plain, it tastes better than all of those that I had ever tried in Singapore.

Pain Chocolat Amade is a rich, croissant style pastry that has dark chocolate in the center topped with almond slices. It's generous almond slices and the snowy outlook had simply stole my stomach away. Do note since it uses dark chocolate, the taste is closer to bitter but the exterior icing had blends in well, thus the taste is a balance in between sweet and bitter.

Millefeuille Fran Ind is a traditional French favourite and also PAUL's classic. It comes with Chocolate, raspberry and strawberry and I had chosen the latter. This golden crispy puff pastry is highly addictive. Every layer of the pastry was very flaky and it is filled with chilled custard flavour cream and topped with half a slice of strawberry. Delighting Pastry!

PAUL had gone an extra mile for its packaging by placing them in a little paper box.

Here's the total amount spent for 2 on our tea time! Considering it's french and every pastries was refined and delicately make, the pricing is around the market standard.

Service/counter staff are seen pulling long faces. Service wise, there are more rooms for improvement.
