I was looking for a light meal for dinner, so I decided on the congee offered from this stall. It was priced reasonably cheap at $2.50 for a regular bowl of century egg & pork congee. - The "first look" of the century egg & pork congee- Showing the ingredients within the century egg & pork congeeWow, I loved the taste of the congee which had the right balance between the sweet and savoury taste. Wow, I loved the taste of the congee which had the right balance between the sweet and savoury taste. It was also smooth & had just the right consistency. Even my friend also commented that it's good congee. She's from Hong Kong, and if she says the congee is good, then it's definitely up to standard yeah? She ordered one claypot of ginger & spring onion frog's legs with a bowl of congee ($7). I did not try the frog's legs but I could tell she really enjoyed them.
I was really amazed to find a tiny bit of dried scallop within my congee. I was not hallucinating ok? My friend also found a bit in her bowl of plain congee as well. The fact that dried scallop was used to make the congee shows the sincerity of the stall owner. Thumbs up!
Will definitely be back for more rounds of yummy congee
