When visiting the NTUC Fairprice supermarket nearby to get some sauces for a barbeque party, we decided to have an early dinner.Came across this Zi Char stall and we decided to order a plate of sambal clams (Lala) to go along with the plate of fried rice.The fried rice was within normal standard but we enjoy more of the sambal clams.Cooked with plenty of sambal and not too spicy, the gravy was not too watery and sufficiently thick enough to blend with the fried rice. Came across this Zi Char stall and we decided to order a plate of sambal clams (Lala) to go along with the plate of fried rice.
The fried rice was within normal standard but we enjoy more of the sambal clams.
Cooked with plenty of sambal and not too spicy, the gravy was not too watery and sufficiently thick enough to blend with the fried rice. Slices of pineapple cubes and generous amount of spring onions enhanced the flavour of the well cooked clams.
The sambal clams are not available sometimes but we were fortunate that evening.
Priced: S$10.00 for the Sambal Clams and S$6.00 for the fried rice (for 2 paxs).
