When I think about desserts in ION orchard, I will definitely think of Mei Heong Yuen.. the name doesn't really stick, I prefer to remember it as the Hongkong desserts shop at the lowest level of ION It is my second time at this very small and cramped desserts shop. Try at your own risk
This time, we tried the Mango Shaved Ice ($5) and Glutinous Balls ($3).

The Mango Shaved Ice is as usual, very refreshing and sweet
Technically it's just a mountain of shaved ice and mango syrup drizzled upon it, with mango cubes at the bottom of the mountain. It's awesome to eat it whether on a hot day or cold day, especially if you are a cold desserts fan like me ^_^ Love it.

The Glutinous Balls is another winner, with two flavours in 5 balls. It's fun guessing what flavours inside the balls! It's either sesame or peanut. The size of the glutinous ball is just right to finish in one mouthful if you have a big mouth like me :X It is NOT sticky at all, which is great because it doesn't choke you like some other glutinous balls do... the skin is also quite thin and easy to chew. The flavours burst in your mouth and kind of reminds me of xiao long baos... I like it too!

I'll definitely go back there and try some other desserts that I've not tried before. Seems like every dessert dish there is quite interesting.

The downside to eating here is that it is so small and cramped, and you have to leave quite fast after you're done because there are other people waiting to go in. I think they should consider expansion since their business is so good!
