I wanted to try out the food at Shi Wei Tian after they were featured on Channel U's programme (Style: Check-In) hosted by Dasmond Koh, Candyce Toh and Tracy Lee. Last week I received an invitation from the OpenRice community team to attend a FREE food tasting at Shi Wei Tian. Viola! 1) KL Hokkien Noodles - Specially customized noodles that looked like udon, steeped in a savoury dark sauce, topped with lots of crispy pork lards.2) Chao Tar Bee Hoon - One of their signature dish which I find too
1) KL Hokkien Noodles - Specially customized noodles that looked like udon, steeped in a savoury dark sauce, topped with lots of crispy pork lards. 2) Chao Tar Bee Hoon - One of their signature dish which I find too dry and the ingredients were slightly overcooked. 3) Signature Guinness Stout Pork Ribs - The meat was very tender and tasty, I was expecting this dish to taste bitter but surprisingly I could taste the guinness stout but not the bitterness. 4) Signature Home-make Tofu - The tofu was soft, I like the battered crispy enoki mushrooms toppings although there was a slight taste of the "smelly oil" due to the overused recycled oil. 5) Signature Golden Pumpkin - Crispy savoury crust on the outside and sweet tender pumpkin inside. The salted eggs and curry leaves makes this dish so addictive. 6) Chai Poh Fish - Deep fried fish topped with chai poh. The fish was fresh and the chai poh not very salty, it would have even better if it was more crispy. 7) Herbal Drunken Chicken Soup - Chicken meat was very tender. The soup does not have very strong herbal taste but abit oily. 8) Salted Egg Crabs - The crabs was big and fresh, salted eggs sauce was very creamy and tasty.
