For appetizers we had Edamame $5.50, Sardine Namban Duke $5.50 as well as a salad.
I didn't try the edamame but the sardine was fried and then marinated with a sauce and topped with carrots. The fish could've been crispier. The boiled vegetables were also very tasty, mixed in the sauce.

I liked this japanese style omelette. The omelette itself was fluffy, soft and sweet. I didn't quite get the tiny fishes on the top, as I couldn't taste it either. I would say that these slices of omelette are alot bigger than the ones you would normally get at a sushi bar, but at $12 for 3 pieces. It's really pricey.

Wrapped with crab, avocados, tomatoes, and seasoned with chilli flakes. This was a mild tasting roll. I could barely taste the chilli, but the avocado together with the rice was really nice. Not too sure what is so "Singapore" about this roll though.

The salmon was fresh and so was the other sashimi. I really really really LOVED THE SCALLOP. It was the best item on the plate! It was so soft, smooth and literally melted in my mouth. A baby with no teeth could totally eat this! (But please don't harm any babies)

The tempura batter was crispy and yet light. I tried an ebi (prawn), corn and a mushroom. All were good, but nothing really stood out for me. The tempura comes with a salt mix, that you dip the tempura in.

There wasn't really a tempura sauce to dip the tempura in. I just watched as others at the dining table, dipped their tempura into the sushi sauce.

Some places that I've had tempura, they were either dripping in oil, or they had a strong smell of oil. These were neither the cases at Taki. I couldn't actually smell the tempura, even when putting it against my nose! Nonetheless, it was still crispy.

The wagyu used here was A4 and the marbling was so pretty! Check out my photos. The beef was juicy and tender. The vegetables in the pot were also very flavourful, as they absorbed all the juices from the beef. I pity non beef eaters.

I really loved how the chef put in effort to cut up the watermelon and placed them nicely!

Sake, the Japanese alcoholic beverage made from fermented rice. This was a very smooth and light sake. A great way to end our dinner.

There's a lot of mediocre product out there billed as "the best." In my experience, very few sushi spots compare to Taki in terms of ambience!

The view from the outdoor seats are spectacular, on a cooling evening, it would the ideal place to sit and dine. Otherwise, you can take a table indoors. They have an indoor dining area and a sushi bar counter top that sits a total of maybe 16pax?

The waitress is also dressed in a kimono and walks around the serve you your sake or kirin beer.
